Terms of Service

By using the Washzi Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before using our services.

Effective: January 2026

IMPORTANT NOTICE: These Terms of Service contain a binding arbitration clause and class action waiver in Section 15. By using the Washzi Platform, you agree to resolve all disputes through individual binding arbitration and waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits. Please read Section 15 carefully before using the Platform.

1. About Washzi

1.1 Company Information

Washzi Inc. is a technology company incorporated in the State of Delaware and registered to conduct business in the State of New York, with its principal place of business at 155 Water St, Brooklyn, NY 11201.

1.2 Nature of Services

Washzi operates a multi-sided digital marketplace platform (the “Platform”) accessible through mobile applications (“Apps”) and the website www.washzi.com. The Platform connects three categories of users: (i) individuals and businesses seeking laundry and related services (“Customers”); (ii) independently owned and operated laundromat businesses (“Laundromat Partners”); and (iii) independent delivery contractors (“Driver Partners”). Laundromat Partners and Driver Partners are collectively referred to as “Service Providers.”

1.3 Platform Role — Not a Laundry Service

WASHZI IS A TECHNOLOGY MARKETPLACE PLATFORM ONLY.

Washzi does not itself provide laundry services, dry cleaning services, or laundry pickup and delivery services. All laundry and cleaning services are performed exclusively by Laundromat Partners. All pickup and delivery of laundry is performed exclusively by Driver Partners. Washzi facilitates connections between Customers and Service Providers and processes payments as a disclosed limited payment collection agent on behalf of Service Providers. Washzi does not employ laundry workers or delivery drivers in connection with services provided through the Platform.

1.4 Three-App Ecosystem

The Washzi Platform consists of three distinct applications: the Washzi Customer App (for placing and tracking orders); the Washzi Business App (for Laundromat Partners to manage orders and payments); and the Washzi Driver App (for Driver Partners to accept and fulfill delivery assignments). Each application is subject to these Terms, as well as any additional terms applicable to the relevant user type.

2. Acceptance of Terms

2.1 Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using any Washzi application, accessing www.washzi.com, creating a Washzi account, or clicking any button indicating acceptance (including “Sign Up,” “Create Account,” “I Agree,” or similar), you represent and warrant that: (a) you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy; (b) you are at least 18 years of age; (c) you have the legal capacity and authority to enter into a binding agreement; and (d) your use of the Platform does not violate any applicable law or regulation.

2.2 Rejection of Terms

If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you are not permitted to access or use the Platform. Your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Platform and delete your account.

2.3 Relationship to Other Agreements

These Terms incorporate by reference Washzi's Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any additional policies or agreements presented to you at the time of sign-up or in connection with specific services (collectively, the “Policies”). In the event of a conflict between these Terms and any Policies, these Terms shall control, except as otherwise expressly stated.

2.4 Electronic Agreements

You agree that these Terms and any other agreements entered into electronically through the Platform are valid and legally binding, with the same legal effect as agreements signed in writing. You waive any objection to the validity or enforceability of electronic agreements based solely on their electronic nature.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access the full functionality of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, truthful, current, and complete information during registration, and to promptly update your account information if any of it changes.

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. You may not create an account if you have previously been suspended or permanently banned from the Platform. Customers may maintain only one personal account. Laundromat Partners may maintain one business account per physical laundromat location.

3.3 Account Security and Confidentiality

You are solely responsible for: (a) maintaining the strict confidentiality of your account password and login credentials; (b) restricting access to your account and mobile devices; and (c) all activities that occur under your account, whether or not authorized by you. You agree to immediately notify Washzi of any actual or suspected unauthorized access to your account at info@washzi.com.

3.4 Account Information Accuracy

Providing false, misleading, or outdated account information is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account suspension or termination. Washzi reserves the right to verify the accuracy of account information at any time.

3.5 Account Suspension and Termination

Washzi may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account if: (a) you violate these Terms or any applicable law; (b) your account is associated with fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity; (c) you engage in conduct that harms other users, Service Providers, or Washzi; (d) your account poses a security, fraud, or legal risk; or (e) Washzi is required to do so by a court order, government agency, or applicable law.

3.6 Account Deletion by User

You may request deletion of your Washzi account at any time directly through the in-app account settings. Upon submitting a deletion request, your account will enter a 30-day temporary deactivation period. During this 30-day period, your account will be inaccessible to other users but you may restore your account at any time by logging back in and cancelling the deletion request.

After the 30-day period expires, your account will be permanently and irreversibly deleted, provided that: (a) all pending orders have been completed or cancelled; and (b) your account has no outstanding balance owed to Washzi, any Laundromat Partner, or any Driver Partner. If your account carries an outstanding balance at the time of the deletion request, permanent deletion will be suspended until the balance is resolved.

Following permanent deletion, Washzi may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. The Platform and Services

4.1 Platform Availability

Washzi strives to make the Platform available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance, technical failures, or circumstances beyond Washzi's reasonable control.

4.2 Platform Modifications

Washzi reserves the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform, including features, functionality, pricing structures, or service areas, at any time and without prior notice or liability.

4.3 Geographic Availability

The Platform is currently available in select areas of New York City, including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. Service availability within these areas depends on the availability of Laundromat Partners and Driver Partners in your specific location.

4.4 Independent Contractor Relationship

All Laundromat Partners and Driver Partners providing services through the Platform are independent contractors. They are not employees, agents, joint venturers, or partners of Washzi. Washzi does not control, supervise, direct, or manage the manner in which they perform their services.

4.5 No Endorsement of Service Providers

Washzi does not endorse, recommend, or guarantee any particular Laundromat Partner or Driver Partner. Customer ratings and reviews reflect the individual opinions of users and do not represent Washzi's views or endorsements.

5. Orders, Pricing, and Payment

5.1 Order Placement and Binding Effect

When a Customer submits an order through the Platform, such order constitutes a binding service request directed to the selected Laundromat Partner. Order confirmation does not guarantee that a Service Provider will accept your order.

5.2 Pricing Structure

Pricing for laundry and cleaning services is set independently by each Laundromat Partner and displayed in the Platform prior to order confirmation. Washzi charges a platform service fee on each order, which is disclosed at checkout. All prices are displayed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change at any time.

5.3 Pricing Disputes

If you believe you have been charged an incorrect amount, you must contact Washzi at info@washzi.com within 14 days of the transaction. Failure to notify Washzi within 14 days constitutes a waiver of any pricing dispute.

5.4 Payment Methods

Washzi accepts payment via credit card, debit card, and other payment methods as displayed in the Platform. All payments are processed through Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor.

5.5 Payment Agent

When processing payments through the Platform, Washzi acts as a limited payment collection agent for Laundromat Partners and Driver Partners. Payment to Washzi, when made through the Platform, satisfies your payment obligation to the applicable Service Providers.

5.6 Tips

Customers may elect to add a tip for Driver Partners through the Platform. Tips are optional and 100% of all tips go directly to the Driver Partner who performed the delivery. Washzi does not collect or retain any portion of tips. Tips are non-refundable once the delivery is completed.

5.7 Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled without charge at any time before a Driver Partner has been assigned to pick up your laundry. Once a Driver Partner has been assigned and dispatched, a cancellation fee of up to $5.00 may apply. If a Laundromat Partner cancels an order for any reason, the Customer will receive a full refund. Refunds for cancellations will be processed within 5–10 business days.

5.8 Refunds

Refund requests must be submitted to info@washzi.com within 48 hours of order delivery. Washzi may, in its sole discretion, review refund requests solely for purposes of platform compliance and policy adherence.

Washzi is not a party to the laundry service contract between the Customer and the Laundromat Partner and does not adjudicate, guarantee, or decide the outcome of any service dispute. Responsibility for service quality, item condition, and any compensation owed rests exclusively with the applicable Laundromat Partner and/or Driver Partner.

Where Washzi determines, in its sole discretion, that a refund is appropriate under its platform policies, Washzi may issue a platform credit or reverse a charge up to the total amount paid by the Customer for the disputed order. Washzi reserves the right to deny, reduce, or decline to process any refund request that is fraudulent, unsupported by documentation, submitted outside the 48-hour window, or otherwise inconsistent with these Terms. Any such determination by Washzi is an administrative platform decision only and does not constitute an admission of liability or a finding of fault against any party.

5.9 Taxes

Customers are responsible for all applicable taxes on services purchased through the Platform. Washzi may collect and remit sales tax as required by New York State and New York City law. Laundromat Partners and Driver Partners are independently responsible for all taxes applicable to income received through the Platform.

5.10 Promotional Pricing and Credits

Promotional pricing, coupon codes, referral credits, and other incentives are subject to specific terms disclosed at the time of the offer. Credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, and expire as stated in the applicable offer terms or within 12 months if no expiration is specified. Washzi reserves the right to modify or terminate promotional programs at any time.

6. Pickup, Delivery, and Laundry Handling

6.1 Scheduling Pickup

Customers may schedule laundry pickups through the Platform by selecting their preferred date, time window, and pickup address. Pickup time windows are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

6.2 Customer Responsibilities — Laundry Preparation

Customers are responsible for properly preparing laundry prior to pickup, including:

  • Checking all pockets and removing all non-laundry items, including cash, keys, jewelry, electronic devices, medications, and personal documents
  • Separating items that require different cleaning methods and clearly communicating any special care instructions
  • Ensuring all items submitted are safe for machine washing and drying, unless specifically ordering dry cleaning or other specialty services
  • Not including in laundry orders any items containing hazardous materials, biological waste, or illegal substances

6.3 Prohibited Items

The following items must not be included in any Washzi laundry order:

  • Currency, financial instruments, jewelry, watches, or other valuables
  • Electronic devices or accessories
  • Medications, controlled substances, or illegal materials
  • Hazardous materials, including bleach, chemicals, or flammables
  • Items containing biological waste or bodily fluids
  • Items belonging to third parties without their consent

Washzi and Laundromat Partners assume no responsibility for any prohibited items included in laundry orders, and such items may be discarded without notice or liability.

6.4 Laundromat Partner Service Standards

Laundromat Partners agree to perform all laundry services with reasonable care and in accordance with standard industry practices. However, Washzi makes no representation or warranty regarding the quality, completeness, or timeliness of laundry services performed by Laundromat Partners.

6.5 High-Value Items

Customers are strongly advised not to include irreplaceable, antique, heirloom, designer, or high-value garments (valued in excess of $200 per item) in laundry orders without first contacting the selected Laundromat Partner. Washzi's liability for any lost or damaged item shall in no event exceed $200 per item and $500 per order.

6.6 Lost or Damaged Items — Claims Process

In the event that an item is lost or damaged in connection with a Washzi order, the Customer must:

  • Report the issue to info@washzi.com within 48 hours of the completed delivery
  • Provide a written description of the item, including brand, approximate age, and estimated purchase price
  • Provide photographic evidence of any damage, where applicable
  • Provide a copy of the original purchase receipt if the claimed value exceeds $100

WASHZI IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR DAMAGED ITEMS.

ALL SERVICE RESPONSIBILITY FOR CUSTOMER PROPERTY IN CONNECTION WITH LAUNDRY SERVICES RESTS EXCLUSIVELY WITH THE APPLICABLE LAUNDROMAT PARTNER, AND ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROPERTY IN TRANSIT RESTS EXCLUSIVELY WITH THE APPLICABLE DRIVER PARTNER.

Washzi may, at its sole discretion and as a purely administrative courtesy, assist in relaying claim information between the Customer and the applicable Service Provider. Such administrative assistance does not constitute an acknowledgment of Washzi's liability, a guarantee of compensation, or a warranty of service quality. Washzi does not guarantee any particular outcome of any claim. Any compensation for lost or damaged items is the sole responsibility of the applicable Service Provider. Washzi's maximum aggregate liability in connection with any lost or damaged item claim shall not exceed the amounts set forth in Section 6.5 regardless of the circumstances.

Claims submitted more than 48 hours after delivery will not be considered. Normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, shrinkage, color change, and damage resulting from the Customer's failure to disclose care requirements or failure to comply with Section 6.2 are not compensable under any circumstances.

6.7 Delivery Standards

Driver Partners will make reasonable efforts to deliver laundered items within the estimated timeframe. In the event a Customer is unavailable after two delivery attempts, the order may be held or returned to the Laundromat Partner, and additional fees may apply.

6.8 Contactless Delivery

Where a Customer has selected contactless delivery, Driver Partners will leave orders at the designated location. Washzi and Driver Partners are not responsible for theft, loss, or damage to orders following contactless delivery.

7. Prohibited Conduct

By using the Platform, you agree not to engage in any of the following activities:

  • Using the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • Providing false, inaccurate, or misleading information in connection with any account, order, or communication
  • Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely claiming an affiliation
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other user accounts, or any related systems
  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity, security, or performance of the Platform
  • Using automated tools, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the Platform without prior written consent
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any portion of the Platform
  • Engaging in harassing, abusive, threatening, or defamatory conduct
  • Submitting fraudulent orders, dispute claims, or refund requests
  • Using the Platform to facilitate unauthorized commercial activity
  • Violating the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of Washzi or any third party
  • Sharing your account credentials with any third party
  • Engaging in any activity that imposes a disproportionate load on the Platform's infrastructure

Violation of any of the above may result in immediate account suspension, termination, and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement authorities.

8. User-Generated Content

8.1 Submission of Content

The Platform may permit users to submit content, including text, photos, reviews, ratings, and other materials (collectively, “User Content”). By submitting User Content, you represent that you own or have the necessary rights to submit such content and that the content does not infringe upon the rights of any third party.

8.2 License to User Content

By submitting User Content to the Platform, you grant Washzi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content in connection with the operation and promotion of the Platform.

8.3 Monitoring and Removal

Washzi reserves the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, review, edit, or remove any User Content at any time and for any reason, including content that violates these Terms.

9. Ratings and Reviews

The Platform allows Customers to submit ratings and written reviews of Laundromat Partners and Driver Partners following completed orders. All ratings and reviews must reflect the Customer's genuine experience and may not be submitted in exchange for compensation or incentives. Washzi reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms, are fraudulent, or are posted by individuals with a conflict of interest. Laundromat Partners and Driver Partners are prohibited from soliciting fake reviews or manipulating the rating system.

10. Promotions, Referrals, and Credits

From time to time, Washzi may offer promotional codes, referral programs, sign-up bonuses, or other incentives. Unless expressly stated otherwise: (a) promotional codes and referral credits are for one-time use only; (b) they apply only to eligible orders as specified; (c) they cannot be transferred, combined, or redeemed for cash; (d) they expire as stated in the applicable terms; (e) Washzi reserves the right to cancel or modify any promotional offer at any time without liability; and (f) abuse of promotional programs, including creating duplicate accounts to obtain referral credits, will result in account suspension and forfeiture of all credits.

11. Intellectual Property

11.1 Washzi's Intellectual Property

All content, materials, features, and functionality available through the Platform — including but not limited to the Washzi name, logo, trademarks, service marks, trade dress, software, source code, algorithms, databases, text, graphics, images, audio, video, and data compilations — are the exclusive property of Washzi Inc. and are protected by applicable United States and international intellectual property laws.

11.2 Limited License to Users

Subject to these Terms, Washzi grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Washzi applications on your personal mobile device and to access the Platform solely for your own lawful personal or internal business use.

11.3 Restrictions

You may not reproduce, copy, duplicate, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Platform without Washzi's express prior written permission. You may not use meta tags or hidden text utilizing Washzi's name or trademarks, or frame or mirror any portion of the Platform.

11.4 DMCA Policy

Washzi respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been reproduced on the Platform in a manner that constitutes copyright infringement, please submit a DMCA takedown notice to info@washzi.com.

12. Third-Party Services and Links

The Platform may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, services, or applications. Washzi does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party content, products, or services. Your interactions with third-party services, including payment processors (Stripe) and map providers, are governed by such third parties' own terms of service and privacy policies. Washzi is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of any third-party service.

13. Accessibility

Washzi is committed to making the Platform accessible to individuals with disabilities to the extent practicable. If you experience any accessibility barriers or require assistance using the Platform, please contact us at info@washzi.com or call +1 (917) 588-8837. We will make reasonable efforts to provide assistance or an accessible alternative.

14. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

14.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE WASHZI PLATFORM AND ALL SERVICES, CONTENT, AND MATERIALS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE PLATFORM ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

14.2 Disclaimer Regarding Service Providers

WASHZI MAKES NO WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS REGARDING THE QUALITY, SAFETY, RELIABILITY, TIMELINESS, OR SUITABILITY OF ANY LAUNDRY SERVICES PERFORMED BY LAUNDROMAT PARTNERS OR DELIVERY SERVICES PROVIDED BY DRIVER PARTNERS. YOU USE THE SERVICES OF LAUNDROMAT PARTNERS AND DRIVER PARTNERS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

14.3 Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL WASHZI BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, BUSINESS, OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS; DAMAGE TO PROPERTY; OR PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH NOT CAUSED BY WASHZI'S GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT.

WASHZI'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (I) THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE 90-DAY PERIOD PRECEDING THE EVENT; OR (II) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00).

14.4 Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Washzi and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of the rights of any third party; (d) any User Content you submit; (e) your interaction with any Service Provider; or (f) any dispute between you and any Service Provider.

14.5 Force Majeure

Washzi shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government orders, power outages, internet disruptions, or other force majeure events.

15. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY.

It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court and your right to a jury trial.

15.1 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal dispute resolution process, you agree to contact Washzi at info@washzi.com with a written description of the dispute. Washzi will attempt to informally resolve the dispute within 30 calendar days of receipt.

15.2 Binding Arbitration

Except as provided in Section 15.5, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively by final and binding arbitration, rather than in court. Arbitration shall be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and shall take place in New York County, New York.

15.3 Arbitration Procedures

The arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator selected in accordance with AAA rules, conducted in English. The arbitrator's award shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

15.4 Class Action Waiver

YOU AND WASHZI EACH AGREE THAT ALL CLAIMS AND DISPUTES SHALL BE RESOLVED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS ONLY AND NOT ON A CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE BASIS. YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO BRING OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION AGAINST WASHZI.

15.5 Exceptions to Arbitration

Either party may bring an individual action in a small claims court of competent jurisdiction. Either party may also seek emergency injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration.

15.6 Governing Law and Venue

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. To the extent a claim is not subject to arbitration, the parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York County, New York.

15.7 Arbitration Fees

Washzi will pay all AAA arbitration fees for Consumer claims that do not exceed $10,000, unless the arbitrator determines the claim is frivolous. Each party is responsible for its own attorneys' fees.

16. Modifications to Terms

Washzi reserves the right to update, revise, or modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through: (a) email notification to the address associated with your account; (b) in-app notification when you next access the Platform; or (c) posting a prominent notice on www.washzi.com.

Material changes will become effective no earlier than 14 days after the date of notice. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Platform.

17. General Provisions

17.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any additional agreements entered into between you and Washzi, constitute the entire agreement between you and Washzi with respect to the Platform.

17.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17.3 Waiver

No failure or delay by Washzi in exercising any right shall operate as a waiver of such right. A waiver of any breach shall not be construed as a waiver of any subsequent breach.

17.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without Washzi's prior written consent. Washzi may freely assign these Terms without restriction or prior notice.

17.5 Notices

Notices to Washzi must be sent to info@washzi.com or by certified mail to 155 Water St, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Notices to you may be sent to the email address or phone number associated with your account.

17.6 Language

These Terms are written in English. In the event of any conflict between the English version and any translated version, the English version shall control.
