NOTE: These Laundromat Partner Terms are supplemental to and incorporated into the Terms of Service. By registering as a Partner, you agree to both these Partner Terms and the general Terms of Service.
1. Partner Eligibility and Onboarding
1.1 Eligibility Requirements
To register as a Laundromat Partner, your business must:
- Be a legally operating laundromat or laundry service business located within Washzi's active service area
- Hold all required business licenses, permits, and certifications required by applicable federal, state, and local law, including New York City business licenses
- Maintain a physical laundromat facility with operational washing and drying equipment
- Carry commercial general liability insurance in an amount no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 in aggregate
- Employ or engage staff competent to perform laundry services

1.2 Onboarding Process
Prospective Partners must complete Washzi's onboarding process, which includes:
- Submission of business registration information
- Submission of proof of required licenses and insurance
- Completion of Stripe's identity and banking verification
- Acceptance of these Partner Terms
Washzi reserves the right to accept or reject any Partner application at its sole discretion and without explanation.
1.3 Partner Profile
Upon approval, Partners may create a business profile on the Platform, including business name, address, service types, pricing, photos, and hours of operation. Partners are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of their profile information at all times. Misleading or inaccurate profile information is grounds for account suspension.
2. Partner Obligations
2.1 Service Standards
Partners agree to:
- Process all orders accepted through the Platform with professional care and in accordance with standard laundry industry practices
- Follow all care label instructions for items submitted by Customers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic facility
- Complete orders within the estimated timeframe displayed in the Platform
- Communicate promptly with Customers and Washzi support regarding any order issues
- Comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations
2.2 Acceptance of Orders
Partners retain the right to accept or decline individual orders at their discretion through the Washzi Business App. However, Partners who consistently decline orders or maintain low acceptance rates may have their profiles deprioritized in search results or may be subject to account review. Partners must not accept orders that they are unable to fulfill within the stated timeframe.
2.3 Communication
Partners must maintain responsive communication with Customers through the Platform. Partners must notify Customers of any anticipated delays, service limitations, or issues with their order promptly and through the Platform's messaging feature.
2.4 Non-Solicitation
During the term of this agreement and for a period of 12 months thereafter, Partners agree not to solicit, contact, or accept direct orders from Customers introduced through the Washzi Platform, bypassing the Platform, for the purpose of avoiding Washzi's service fee. This provision does not restrict Partners from accepting orders from customers who contact them independently of the Washzi Platform.
2.5 Platform Exclusivity
Partners are not required to use the Washzi Platform exclusively and may participate in other marketplace platforms. However, pricing offered through the Washzi Platform must not be materially less favorable than pricing offered through any other platform or channel for comparable services.
3. Payments to Partners
3.1 Payment Structure
Partners receive payment for services rendered through the Platform, less Washzi's platform service fee (the “Platform Fee”). The current Platform Fee rate is disclosed in the Partner onboarding materials and in the Washzi Business App. Washzi reserves the right to modify the Platform Fee with 30 days' prior written notice to Partners.
3.2 Payment Schedule
Partner payments are processed through Stripe and disbursed on a weekly basis, typically within 3–5 business days of the close of each weekly payment cycle. Payment disbursement timelines may vary based on Stripe's processing schedule, banking holidays, or Partner verification status.
3.3 Disputes and Chargebacks
In the event of a Customer chargeback or payment dispute related to an order fulfilled by a Partner, Washzi reserves the right to withhold the disputed amount from Partner disbursements pending resolution. Washzi will investigate disputes in good faith and will notify Partners of the outcome. Partners may submit documentation to support their position in any dispute.
3.4 Tax Obligations
Partners are solely responsible for all taxes applicable to amounts received through the Platform. Washzi may issue IRS Form 1099-K to Partners as required by applicable law. Partners acknowledge that Washzi does not withhold any taxes on their behalf.
4. Partner Liability, Insurance, and Indemnification
4.1 Partner Sole Responsibility
Laundromat Partners are solely responsible and liable for:
- All laundry, dry cleaning, and related services performed through the Platform
- The acts, omissions, errors, negligence, and misconduct of their owners, employees, staff, subcontractors, and agents
- All damage to, loss of, or destruction of Customer property occurring while such property is in the Partner's care, custody, or control
- Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances, including occupational safety laws, environmental regulations, consumer protection laws, anti-discrimination laws, wage and hour laws, and licensing requirements
- All applicable tax obligations arising from amounts received through the Platform
- Maintaining all required business licenses, operating permits, and certificates necessary to lawfully operate a laundromat in their jurisdiction
Washzi shall have no liability whatsoever for the acts or omissions of any Laundromat Partner or their personnel.
4.2 Insurance Requirements
Each Laundromat Partner must, at all times during participation on the Platform, maintain at its own expense:
- Commercial General Liability insurance with limits of no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 general aggregate
- Bailee or Customer Goods Legal Liability insurance, or equivalent coverage, with limits adequate to cover Customer property in the Partner's care, custody, or control, with a minimum limit of $50,000 per occurrence
- Workers' Compensation insurance as required by applicable law covering all employees
- Any other insurance required by applicable law
All policies must be maintained with insurers admitted to do business in New York State with an AM Best rating of no less than A-. Partners must provide Washzi with certificates of insurance within 5 business days of request. Partners must provide Washzi with no less than 30 days' prior written notice of any cancellation, material reduction, or non-renewal of coverage. Failure to maintain required insurance is grounds for immediate account suspension.
4.3 Partner Indemnification of Washzi
Each Laundromat Partner agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Washzi and its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents, successors, and assigns from and against any and all third-party claims, actions, liabilities, losses, damages, settlements, judgments, fines, penalties, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and court costs) arising out of or related to:
- The Partner's laundry or cleaning services, including any lost, damaged, or destroyed Customer property
- The acts, omissions, negligence, or misconduct of the Partner or its employees, staff, or agents
- Any violation of applicable law by the Partner, including wage and hour violations, employment law violations, tax violations, or regulatory violations

- Any claim alleging that the Partner's services infringed upon any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
- Any breach of these Partner Terms by the Partner
Washzi reserves the right to assume exclusive control of any defense subject to Partner indemnification at Partner's expense.
4.4 Payment Reserve and Offset Rights
Washzi reserves the right, without prior notice, to:
- Withhold, offset, or deduct from Partner disbursements any amounts owed by the Partner to Washzi, including disputed order amounts, chargeback amounts, platform fee adjustments, and any amounts arising from Partner's indemnification obligations
- Establish and maintain a reserve against Partner payouts in an amount Washzi reasonably determines adequate to cover potential chargebacks, refund claims, or other contingent liabilities
- Withhold disbursements entirely pending resolution of any fraud investigation, chargeback dispute, or unresolved customer claim related to Partner's services
Washzi will provide notice of any withholding where practicable.
5. Partner Account Suspension and Termination
Washzi may suspend or terminate a Partner's account for any of the following reasons:
- Repeated or serious violations of these Terms
- Sustained low customer ratings (below 3.0 stars over a rolling 30-day period)
- Substantiated complaints of property damage, theft, or misconduct
- Failure to maintain required licenses, permits, or insurance
- Misrepresentation of business information
- Abandonment of orders
- Any conduct that poses a risk to Customers, Driver Partners, or Washzi's reputation
Washzi will provide notice of suspension or termination where practicable and will provide a reasonable opportunity for Partners to respond, except in cases involving imminent risk to safety or fraud.
